Long Island Elite: Stronger than Ever and Ready to Serve

Long Island Elite, a philanthropic networking organization founded in 2002, celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. The organization looks forward to a bright future, continuing to nurture Long Island’s business leaders and supporting local charities by fundraising, raising awareness, and volunteering. Frank Morizio, President of Long Island Elite, notes the challenges of the past few years, but says “As individuals, the members of Long Island Elite have only strengthened their commitment to each other and to their communities during these challenging times. As an organization, Long Island Elite has emerged stronger than ever after adapting to a rapidly changing world and is ready to meet the needs of the communities we live and work in.”

Long Island Elite has a longstanding history of partnering with area charities each year and has raised over two million dollars for organizations such as SIBS Place, Long Island Reach, ACLD, and many more. In addition, individuals in the group support many charities jointly and independently and can count on their fellow members to show up in force for causes that are near and dear to them. Several members of the organization are serving on Boards of our former charity partners and other local non-profit organizations to continue our giving efforts for years to come.

For 2022, Long Island Elite is partnering with United Cerebral Palsy of Long Island, an organization dedicated to advancing the independence, productivity, and full citizenship of people with disabilities. The organization provides a wide range of services including educational services, residential services for children and adults, and employment services for job seekers with disabilities. Long Island Elite is proud to partner with UCP of LI this year to contribute to their goal of Life Without Limits for People with Disabilities™. “We look forward to another great fundraising success story for this year’s charity partner, UCP of Long Island,” says Morizio.
